This sculptural vase is part of a series based around the landscapes, from coastal to outback, we enjoy in Australia. For me, the contrasts of light and colour in this piece, evoke a feeling of our Australian Coastal Landscapes,

Techniques used include wheelthrowing with a combination of fine porcelain and coloured porcelain clays. The porcelain surface both interior and exterior have been water etched to give a feeling of coastal landscapes. The high fired porcelain clay is watertight and can be used as a vase or bowl.
