Old Regret artwork by Meredith Howse. Forms part of new and exciting series of Abstract artworks by Meredith Howse.

This work named after the American race mare in the poem by Banjo Paterson called The Man from Snowy River. A poem which was both impactful and inspiring to my younger self. The descriptions of landscape and adventure still resonate with me.

Inspired by the colours of the countryside comes a sophisticated collection of abstract landscapes. Using rich deep greens, earthy browns and warm ochre’s, with a splash of blue to symbolise our rivers, dams and blue sky’s. A birds eye view point on a textured, well primed canvas. Connections are made between colours and lines.

A rich tapestry of the countryside. A abstract painting showing the interconnection of farm life and preservation of nature. An all important balance of life in Australia.
Framed in a light coloured raw wood floating frame.
