The Invisible Witness

“An amazing dream surrounds me

I am walking along releasing birds

Everything that I touch is within me

And I have lost all limitations”    _

The frieze opens at dawn and closes at dusk. The undulating forms of rocks, trees and sandstone caverns with glimpses of sky, cloud and valley, is subtly infused with archetypes of transcendence. Birds, animals and angels occupy a layered mosaic of texture, colour and substance where the ‘primal’ landscape is at once both body and consciousness.

Painted on site over a period of five days at a remote outlook on the escarpment at Bundanoon, with several reworkings. This captivating frieze, along with others, will be displayed at the Moss Vale Civic Centre, Southern Highlands, NSW in February 2018 when it will become available for sale and collection.
