Melody in Mustard by Maggi McDonald – A new experimental series of abstract beachscapes and landscapes using thick layers of acrylic to create texture and movement.

I’ve given myself the freedom to play and experiment in the studio and this has been an intensely satisfying excercise and a fresh new direction for my art. The interesting thing is that I am using the same tools, paint and colours with the results being so different yet still very familiar to my original style.

Inspired by autumn sunsets in all the pinks under the sun…soft and fiery at the same time.

Artwork sides are painted white, with a wire across the back ready to hang on the wall.
