I was inspired by this lovely old cottage on a hillside and the beautiful reflections in the water below. I chose a portrait format to emphasize the winding river and the way it leads the viewer into the scene. The location is the beautiful Denmark River in south Western Australia. A textured landscape spontaneously painted using mainly palette knife.

Artist quality oil paint on professional grade stretched canvas. The sides are 4cm thick and are painted consistent with the color scheme of the subject.
