The beauty of the effects on light on water vapour – the rainbow. The rainbow is a sign of hope, the beauty after the storm. Painting the rainbow is a challenge in creating the illusion of light with paint that absorbs light. The illusion is created by creating contrasts and the application of several glazes of thin paint.
