  • Smoothly Not Slowly

Additional Information

“Smoothly [Not Slowly]” is an original mixed media artwork by Melbourne abstract artist G Kustom Kuhl that visually creates the idea of floating abstract shapes- forms made up of vintage black and white imagery of birds, amongst vintage music and brown wrapping paper. These forms create a left/ right balance in the composition only connected by numbers, which seam random 890890 and the black X’s. The abstract forms have a feeling of floating and expanding towards the top, of a higher plain. The red arrow also helps translate this direction. As we are emotional beings who also have a great minds, thoughts that can influence our direction, this work tries to show the balance of both working towards a unified state. The one of freedom from what we don’t want.

This artwork has been created using pencils [various and layered], inks, oil sticks, paint, stencils, vintage papers, vintage imagery and hand made forms for printing all on Saunders Waterford 325gsm artist paper adhered to board. The piece is finished using a polyurethane clear coat and comes ready to hang with painted black sides [for hanging without framing]. Along with a signed certificate of authenticity.
