Tree Nymph by Rosemary Legat – I started this creation by applying left over paint and glazes (from other projects over the last couple of weeks) to my chosen canvas.

Sticking to a limited colour palette I applied a couple of layers of stencils using acrylic paint and some of my stencils (designed and created by me) along with a couple of honeycomb patterned ones.

With may imagination in full swing I used negative space painting technique to create the wooded scene for my tree nymph to fly around, along with my nymph.

To keep Tree Nymph’s look soft and light canvas sides painted in white.

Signed on the front.

This mystical, magical piece would look especially delightful in a child’s bedroom or nursery.
