Additional Information

Skull (Resurrection in Blue) – A modern painting of a skull, by Sydney artist Leni Kae.

“To accept and face the skull means the acceptance of the cycle of life itself. For some cultures who believe(d) in the afterlife, the skull stood as a symbol of the turning of the wheel of life. Death was a gateway to rebirth, and so the skull stood as a symbol of rebirth, regeneration, resurrection.” – Leni Kae | Follow me @LeniKae

This artwork is from Leni Kae’s new series “Awakenings” and contains a special feature. Expose the painting to UV Light to discover a hidden glow. This feature both symbolises and highlights an element of conscious enlightenment, which will be detailed further for the buyer in the Certificate of Authenticity.

Leni Kae’s ‘Awakenings’ series is inspired by an intuitive connection to the artist’s Greek ancestral landscape. Leni explores conscious and subconscious connection to the stories and energies of cultural legends, mythology, ritual and religion; and the role they played in spiritual enlightenment. ‘Awakenings’ invites viewers to re-examine how they think about ancestral historical spirituality, and in the process, surrender to a process of self-discovery.
