City in Winter’s Light No 5 City by Water Series by Meg Shaw – exclusive to Art Lovers Australia.

This original, abstract painting is inspired by the colours of winter and my love of design. The scene is not based on any particular city, but was created from my imagination and interest in line and shape.
City in Winter’s Light’ has been painted using various acrylics, including spray paint. It has been worked on stretched canvas and in a contemporary, urban style, using mostly palette knives and my fingers. ‘City in Winter’s Light’ is layered and lightly textured. It’s framed in recycled pine, so there may be minor notches or scratches, fitting the composition perfectly. The frame has been finished with a subtle tarnished look – black on dull silver, giving it a mottled, metalic look. It measures approximately 125 x 54 x 4 cm.

The photos show the finished piece, the painting process, close-ups, in situ and the actual frame.

City in Winter’s Light’ will be delivered via a courier service. It will be protected in a crate, wrapped in recycled bubble wrap and packed in recycled cardboard. As I live in rural Tasmania now,  please allow a little more time for delivery. Thank you.
