‘Spring to Action‘ by Julie Rees 

Spring to Action (2024) emerged as an exploration of the home environment and its impact on our experiences. In my latest series, A Wayward Home (2024), I explore the unpredictability of responding to emergencies in a domestic setting. Through my artwork, I aim to capture the transition between contrasting energies—for example, the transition from a calm state to taking action in an emergency situation.

 

This original work is described as painterly photography. The work is a multi-layered photograph which forms a unique one-off piece on acrylic mounting.
