Something about angels by Marijke Lambregtse
This artwork is much about my feelings what’s happening in the world at the moment and around me. Watching precious innocent little children, women and whole families being victims of unnecessary wars is a daily horror. Especially small children still angels of innocence being killed is beyond belief. It brings me back to our stay in Italy where I saw the most beautiful frescoes of angels flying in the air. The taste for being free is carried out by wind and sea, one of my little texts, that’s what I felt this painting should be about. Feelings of innocent beauty great care, love and clinging onto hope.
I used pen, pencils, charcoal, water soluble oil sticks and acrylic paint to bring this emotional work alive. Signed on the back with a certificate of authenticity.
