Muana by artist Stephanie Laine is a new painting from her ‘Shanti’ series and can be hung vertically or horizontally. Muana means silence.
‘Shanti represents a state of inner calm in Sanskrit (an ancient language). By creating an impression of movement (to express the passing of time) and many intertwining and merging layers (which symbolises our experiences), I hope to convey a sense of peace as we observe our memories. I believe in our ability to bring understanding and acceptance to our past, to appreciate every experience as worthwhile in our journey.’
Muana is a combination of sage and mustard greens, green greys and beige with a touch of light blue. She’s painted on a quality stretched canvas. The image wraps around the 3.8cm sides so Muana is ready to hang.
All paintings are finished in 2 coats of satin lacquer for protection and longevity.
