Blue Wildflower is a joyous colourful modern abstract floral with beautiful shades of blues, purples, violet, lilac, light blue, teal, greens and warm yellow. This large painting has a gorgeous feeling of movement through the expressive flowing brushstrokes that really bring it to life and add that extra element of interest.
The artwork is inspired by my love of the impressionist artists (with a modern twist) and how they depicted nature in more simplistic forms whilst observing the effects of light, movement and colours of the landscapes around them.
My goal when painting is to express the joyful emotions through colour and to display a sense of personal freedom onto the canvas.
I love connecting with nature and the soft flowing organic shapes and brushwork allows me to feel that natural energy and rawness.
I am definitely drawn to the bohemian way of living and thinking and my art imitates this colour loving, free spirit and soul searching path.
My art incorporates the emotional memories and feelings of all the wonderful places I have travelled and explored and that I will continue to explore. Being close to nature is something I have always been drawn to, it creates a sense of inner peace and tranquility when I am present in it.
Painting nature is a form of meditation for me, it takes me into a world of being present, feeling true inner joy and contentment. Something that the outside world can often take away from us all. My art studio is my own sanctuary, where my inner passion and true self comes alive.
I want my art to connect with you, as it does with me, and help bring you happiness in this free spirited adventure that we call life.
