Thinking of Sarah – By Rebecca Warr

‘Thinking of Sarah’ is a portrait built up with impasto to create interest in the surface texture. I have attempted to make the eyes and lips a focal point. The yellow floral texture to the side of the portrait helps create a sense of balance and leads the viewer’s eye to these points. I have titled this portrait ‘Thinking of Sarah’ because she reminds me of a girl I know called Sarah who is currently in an induced coma. I wanted to dedicate this work to her to let her know I am thinking of her and hoping she gets through.
