Udu Drum by Carol Forster

The African Udu Drum was invented and developed by women of the Igbo people from clay pots.  These pots had many household functions and were also used in women’s ceremonies. Eventually the pot form evolved into a percussion instrument.  The carved leaf design has been inspired by African leaf motifs.
