Additional Information

Flower Power Smiley Face (Sticky Fingers) sculpture by Stephen Baxter is another work in the ongoing series incorporating the 1960s anime superhero, Astro Boy with a blow-up flower as the initial reference points. The work continues Baxter’s investigation and experimentation with Bricolage and the found object. The title references the Rolling Stones 1971 album of the same name. The happy, playful nature of the sculpture also references the Disney character of Winnie the Pooh and a love of Honey. The one-of-a-kind ceramic artwork is fixed to a found silver heirloom tray giving the sculpture a stable base.
