Out to see – Endless possibilities by Sibylle Zinnocker

Part of a bigger series, where I’m exploring the endless possibilities with the same colours. This is a very bright piece with many layers of transparent fluid paint and the texture is built up with a variety of marks.
I tend to favour squares and rectangles and love playing with patterns in my work, making sure there is lots of interest with different marks but keeping a balance to keep the artwork from becoming overwhelming. Instead I aim for a painting where you can excitedly let your eyes roam over the canvas and keep discovering new things.

The edges are painted white and the signature is on the back so the orientation can be easily changed as this is a very personal decision and even changes depending on where the painting will be hung.
