This original abstract painting is part of a series that is inspired by seaside getaways and the calming influence of the ocean and coastal landscapes. Created in Charlotte’s distinctive hard-edge style, this colourful painting draws on physical elements of a beach landscape (the sea, cliffs, horizon etc) to form an uplifting abstract composition. This work expresses Charlotte’s ongoing fascination with layering and juxtaposing vivid colour to play with opposing ideas of transparency and solidity, simplicity and complexity.

Minibreak II is hand-signed on the front and back and is ready to hang with wire attached (it also has a thick edge of 3.5cm allowing it to stand on a surface).
