Day tripping in the red Mitsubishi: by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

Abstract painting created on canvas.

This artwork continues my experimentation using spray paint, brush work and liquid acrylics to explore memories, technology and the edges of perception.

Making abstract art, I use many different techniques to apply the paint Sponges, rags, plastic, scrapers, paint pens, spray packs, stencils, pencils, and fingers.

This artwork has a very textured surface which was created by layering wallpaper, cardboard and canvas off cuts down and building up the layers with glue and paint.

The artwork is a Abstract Statement piece and will give maximum impact to any room.

My art is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces & is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction and my obsession with using spray paint.

Insitu examples are not to scale.

The artwork is mixed media on canvas which has been painted black around the edges and is ready to hang.
