This painting was,strangely, inspired by frustration at not being able to paint and a few odd marks on the canvas.Margaret is an intuitive painter and the process of producing usually flows but sometimes she starts thinking about what to do and when this happens it seems impossible for her to produce a satisfactory image.These are rubbed out with a cloth ,often with several attempts .Margaret then stops thinking and makes random marks on the canvas which is then viewed from all sides and usually it is possible to find marks that may become an image . This happened here .

Italian primed canvas was stretched over à frame .Good quality oil paint has been used and the painting sealed with à glazing gel. D hooks applied and the painting is ready to hang .
