In Two Minds by Evelyn Hambros

When in two minds about something, we may struggle and struggle until we come to terms with a resolution. That’s the position I was in when I was working on this painting. All the paint trials lead down the same path. Until that moment when relief and calm dawned on me, as if the resolution was right in front of me all the time. These feelings crept into my painting and motivated the work, to the point where a wonderful crescendo of paint droplets erupted with exaltation. The luscious primary and secondary colours created fervour and energy within my physical movements.

Bespoke custom framing in Tasmanian Oak, finished in Scandinavian oil, enhancing uniqueness of grain and ensuring lasting protection. Crafted with precision by experienced artisan.
