Refraction Refllection by De Gillett Cox

Refraction Reflection is an abstracted, vibrant landscape that captures the interplay of light, water, and trees. A treelined watercourse stretches across the composition, with bold neon blues mirrored in the rippling surface, while a glowing yellow sky illuminates the scene from above. Textured and richly layered, the painting uses negative painting techniques to define the tree forms, giving depth and movement to both foliage and reflection. Bold, saturated colours and dynamic brushwork create a striking visual rhythm, turning a simple riverside view into a luminous, energetic exploration of light and colour. When making this painting, I looked at my source images upside down, and made the reflections the land, and the land the reflections. I think it adds to the abstraction, and gave me a whole bunch of intricate detail to add into the reflections.

All edges Gallery-wrapped with the colours of the painting. Ready to hang with D-Rings and plastic-coated wire.

Signed on the Front.
