Journey, Thorong La Pass by Marion Smith – This original semi-abstract painting of the Thorong La Pass in the Annapurna Circuit trek in the Himalayahs is based on a memory of the mountains I trekked through in the 80’s. Thorong La Pass was the highest elevation and I was exhilarated to achieve this. The cool greens and blues used in this painting create a peaceful, calm atmosphere and the mountain is symbolic of determination. The painting is created with layered acrylic paints on stretched canvas and is ready to hang.
