The colour series is a 3 part series that came about after creating an earlier piece – ‘In my Travels’.
I was inspired to do a similar still life setup, but deconstructing each colour into it’s own piece. This is the Golden yellow piece.

Yellow and orange to me are the colours of life, vibrance, emerging ideas, and pure joy and uplift! Sunflowers are the perfect floral symbol to reflect these ideas, and the touch of the butterfly also speaks to new life, new perspective, and new ideas. Another reference from a prior piece (The Metamorph: Towards the Light).

This piece, Emerge: the Golden Days, is great as a stand alone, but also looks fantastic with the other two pieces in this colour series. A vivid set of paintings to speak life!
