Koala vase by Carol Forster

I was inspired to make this piece after a recent walk in my local botanic gardens where I spotted Lizzy, the resident Koala, high up in a tree.  Technique forms an important aspect of my work with joy coming as much from the process as the finished piece.   My investigations into relief printed images and surface representations of flora and fauna, using clay as my expressive medium, is further explored.

This piece is both decorative and functional.
