This painting created by Martin in the style of the Desert Painters of Western Australia was initially inspired by a photograph of the Hills Gold Mine taken in the Australian Desert. The soil was turned blue white; what was happening to the ground? I liked the abstract nature of the image, even though it was real. You see this sometimes.
