Following high school, Julia pursued Creative Arts at the Adelaide School of Arts.

Favouring acrylics and oils, Julia also works with oil and water-soluble pastels, along with pigments sourced from nature. Her large statement pieces are increasingly popular among those who appreciate nature-inspired art. “I love the interior design trends that bring nature inside. This is what I am most passionate about,” she explains. “When selecting my colour palette, interior design has a significant influence, then I head off to find those colours in nature.”

Julia’s creations evoke deep emotions and offer a profound connection to the natural world. She paints with delicate layers and bold brush strokes, creating mesmerizing textures and colours that bring joy. One of her favourite works is A New Season, inspired by her favourite time of year, spring. This piece was among three of her artworks selected while on exhibition at Art Lovers Australia’s Collingwood gallery to feature in the Zac Efron and John Cena film, Ricky Stanicky, filmed in Melbourne in 2023.

In home interiors, Julia believes that the right piece of art can make a significant visual impact. “I believe if artwork is large and powerful enough, it can be the main furniture of the room, and the rest is just accessories,” she asserts. Julia also enjoys creating her own colours. “I’m currently obsessed with colours that sit between two, when pushed to that fine line where it’s neither one nor the other,” she muses. “My favorite is a colour found on a eucalyptus tree; it’s a creamy yellow-green.”

Julia’s philosophy on art and life is both profound and heartfelt. “We are all one; the same energy that flows in you also flows in me, in nature, in the flowers and birds. We are all connected,” she reflects. Describing herself as passionate, creative, and grateful, Julia views her artistic journey as one of self-discovery. “I feel I’ve only scratched the surface of what I can do,” she shares.
With a steadfast commitment to exploring her artistic potential, Julia’s journey continues to evolve, promising more enchanting creations to come.
