Interpreting interiors and still lifes one watercolour at a time.
Artworks: 19
After (too) many years solely looking at art, Ambra has returned to making art.
Following three years at the National Art School in the 1980s, she worked at the Biennale of Sydney and Artspace and continued working in professional roles in the cultural/NFP sector for 20-something years.
Ambra’s watercolours depict interiors and still lifes, where she plays with colour, composition and distorted shapes. She has recently incorporated another favourite pastime – photography – into her painting by capturing brief moments in time and interpreting them in unexpected ways.
She has participated in local and interstate exhibitions, and in 2025 has been a finalist in the Greenway Art Prize; Burwood Art Priz;, Interiors Art Prize Weswal Gallery Tamworth and Australian Watercolour Muster (Digital Section).
