Ben Musgrove, loves being creative and paints in acrylic onto canvas. He is inspired by natures elements of Land, Sea and Sky and enjoys the challenge of capturing the interaction of light and colour.

Ben Musgrove paintings have a connection to nature.
To be able to go for a walk and look up at the sky each day and through the seasons is his inspiration and the driving force in Ben’s art.
He has always loved recording nature through an interest in photography and painting.
From growing up on a farm in the Yarra Valley, studying art at school, visual arts and art history at university, a real relationship with art making process has developed.
With a love of sea and sailing, his current work tends to focus on the changing light and colours of sea and sky. A subject matter which provides an endless source of inspiration, constantly shifting the mood and feel of a painting.
His challenge to improve his observation and develop the skills to connect his art with people is his motivation.
To be able to make art that makes a connection to a person, to spark a memory of a place is the reward.
Ben enjoys supporting Melbourne’s community art shows and connecting with other artists – people that enjoy art and making art.
