De Gillett Cox is a highly awarded and avidly collected visual artist with a 30-year art making history and a Bachelor of Fine Art 2012 (Drawing, Printmaking, Art Theory) from Queensland College of Art, Griffith University.
Utilizing her distinctive self-developed techniques including colour-rubs, glazing, and her hand-drawn distinctive stencils, De builds her canvases by layering bold textures and translucent, glowing colours. Overlaying elements in both negative and positive, she builds on, around and over the surface, following her tightly honed instincts to bring each work to its most satisfying fulfilment.
Motion and delight are captured on her canvases as they develop, with each original painting destined to find a forever home as an eternal memento of joy, especially when times are tough. Need some sunshine positivity on your walls? It’s available right here.
