Donna Geyer studied art as a major, teaching and later exploring other creative areas after finishing studies in film and design.
Over the years Donna has sold her artworks to private collectors and restaurants including corporate offices. Her paintings have illustrated a poetry book and she has contributed to various group exhibitions.
Donna loves to paint simple bold abstracts in a mixture of media and has been using resin on both wood and canvas for the last ten years. Her other passion is to recreate the beauty of a dramatic sky over water.
Painting the drama of a thundery sky, she uses multiple layers of paint to capture the light and movement of luminous floating clouds.
Her practice is to paint quite quickly rather than overthink the process, merging both her memory and imagination to create a painting that reveals the way a scene made her feel.
