Kalorama Melbourne Victoria
Having moved many times, I feel fortunate to now live and work in The Dandenongs. My days are a glorious struggle, trying to create sense of everything.
Oil paint is my preferred medium as I explore moments of introspection, mood, atmosphere, fleeting observations, and the beauty of the natural world.

Georgia has been painting on and off for most of her life, and more recently as a full time career.
Capturing the transitory nature of existence, whether of the memory or the moment, is at the core of her paintings.
Subject matter can vary widely as the creation of mood, atmosphere, colour and light, are of the most importance.
Oil paint is her preferred medium, used as dreamy washes to rich palette knife. Aerosols also feature as she feels they help create the randomness and elusive nature of time. Texture in ‘inappropriate’ areas also feature on the canvas, reminding us that life, the passage of time, can leave scars in unexpected places.
“I am not afraid to be flexible in my approach, utilising whichever mediums and techniques seem most appropriate to the work. Through my art I explore emotion, moments of introspection, fleeting observations, and the inherent beauty of the natural world. I want my work to encourage pause and hopefully leave a lasting impression. I love the colours, smells and tactile nature of paint and the act of creating something from nothing, it’s a constant wonder”
