Both artists work together on the concept and development of each painting. The distinction lies in the execution: their styles are markedly different, and each work is ultimately painted individually, allowing those differences to be fully expressed.
Josslyn Taylor-Francis has a strong affinity for history, finely crafted objects, and impeccable design. She is particularly inspired by the work of Andrea Kowch, whose realistic American Gothic style informs her approach. Like Martin, Josslyn is interested in storytelling, often anchoring her narratives within historical settings.
Martin W. Francis is a practising artist with many years of experience. While studying in Perth, Western Australia, he was exposed to the Desert Artists of the region, particularly Robert Litchfield Juniper, whose influence can still be seen in his work. He has been steadily developing a synthetic cubist approach, creating paintings with strong visual narratives that can be both humorous and profound.
