Featured Artist – Kerry-Anne Knibbs is a Blue Mountains-based artist and educator whose work bridges fine art, design, and spiritual intention. With a background that spans illustration, graphic design, photography, fine arts, teaching, counselling, art therapy and ancient energy studies (tai chi, qigong, feng shui, usui reiki). Kerry-Anne brings a rare blend of technical mastery and soulful awareness to her practice. Her creative journey has included work for David Hockney, Walt Disney Studios, and leading Sydney studios—experiences that continue to inform the craftsmanship and layered storytelling within her fine art.
Artworks: 28
Working primarily in abstract and semi-abstract acrylic painting, Kerry-Anne draws inspiration from nature, Eastern philosophy, and lived experience. Her pieces are more than visual compositions—they are energetic landscapes, created with the intention of transforming the spaces they inhabit. Each painting carries a distinct frequency designed to evoke calm, harmony, and presence, inviting collectors to engage not only with what they see, but with what they feel.
Recurring symbols—particularly native Australian birds—act as metaphors for resilience, intuition, and transformation. Through this visual language, Kerry-Anne explores the subtle relationship between the external world and inner experience, between stillness and movement, between matter and energy.
Living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Kerry-Anne works from her home studio in the Blue Mountains at a considered, intuitive rhythm. Her condition deepens her awareness of balance, space, and flow—qualities that translate directly into her art.
A Featured Artist with Art Lovers Australia, Kerry-Anne’s work has been exhibited in major ALA showcases and national campaigns, as well as local exhibitions including the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, Blue Fringe Festival Wentworth Falls, and Gang Gang Gallery in Lithgow.
As an educator and mentor, Kerry-Anne has guided artists of all ages through her own teaching studio, promoting creativity as a tool for empowerment, inclusion, and emotional connection.
