Hi, I’m Olivia.
My art journey commenced after my husband died. He became sick and 7 weeks later he died.
Overnight, I became a single mother to our three children.
My world was turned upside down, and I began to question my life as a whole. My purpose, my direction, my time, my relationships, my career.
I began to channel my thoughts and emotions into painting and writing, and my love for Art, painting, writing and being creative grew, the more time I spent doing it.
I paint intuitively, and I can say after painting for a number of years, I feel as though Art flows through me from a place I am connected to.
My grandfather was an aboriginal man, he lived on the Caroona Mission, now know as Walhallow, just outside Quirindi, NSW. I feel a deep connection to this side of my lineage and I hold a deep respect for Mother Earth, nature and animals upon the land.
My paintings are not always traditional aboriginal paintings using symbols and dots, but the words that I channel are a form of story telling in their own right.
I believe that Art holds energy and is powerful, just like stories.
It is my hope that people connect with my Art and stories from the heart space and that my Art holds a sacred meaning for those that connect to it.
