Specializing in both oils and acrylics, Rod’s work reflects an ongoing exploration of light, shadow, and the emotional impact of the scenes he captures.
Working primarily in response to the world around him, Rod’s art is heavily influenced by the diverse landscapes of the Sunshine Coast, from its serene beaches to the sweeping vistas of the Hinterland. Whether creating plein air pieces or studio-based works, he is continually drawn to the subtleties of light, using these elements to evoke mood and atmosphere in each composition.
