Ros Gervay is a modern botanical artist living and working in Sydney, New South Wales. Her work results from an interest in both authenticity and colour, through honest painterly marks and vibrant uplifting colour palettes. At the moment she is focusing on large scale botanical and floral works that deliver high-impact positivity and joy.
Ros is committed to the concept of “truth to materials”. Her work celebrates the medium of acrylic paints and embraces the texture and movement offered by the medium from visible brushstrokes to layers of transparent marks. Ros’ interest in this area is visible in her intuitive works which evolve from the imagination.
Also a co-host for the Paint Rest Repeat podcast and a business coach for new and rising artists, Ros is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience as an artist with other creatives. Her work is shown in three galleries across Australia.
