Born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1995, Samuel Brett is a talented painter whose artistic journey began in early childhood. From the moment he could hold a pencil, Samuel displayed a natural passion for drawing and painting, which later evolved into a deep appreciation for Traditional Realism. His formative years were shaped by the Peninsula Art Society, where he began formal training at just 10 years old, igniting his ambition to pursue a career in the arts.
Samuel draws inspiration from the masters of art history, including Diego Velázquez, Edward Hopper, Rembrandt, Caspar David Friedrich, and Caravaggio. Their influence is evident in his dedication to capturing light, emotion, and atmosphere in his work.
After earning a Diploma in Visual Arts, Samuel honed his skills in oil painting, charcoal, and graphite, further refining his craft. His work explores cityscapes, landscapes, and portraiture, focusing on the intricate interplay between light and shadow to evoke a sense of realism and connection.
