A Life in Colour, A Legacy in Storytelling:
Tracie Eaton is a multi-award-winning contemporary artist whose vibrant, textured artworks explore the depths of human emotion through the psychology of colour. She is internationally recognised for her bold, expressive acrylic paintings that invite viewers to not only see, but feel.
Artistic Style:
Tracie’s signature lies in her rich textures, layered acrylics, and fearless use of colour. Every hue is chosen with intention, drawing from her background in colour psychology. Her works are designed not just to adorn walls but to evoke emotion, inspire conversation, and create a sense of empowerment in those who experience them. She believes: “Colour has the power to heal, to inspire, and to connect us to our truest selves.”
Early Life & Inspiration:
Born in Masterton, New Zealand, in 1972, Tracie grew up with an innate curiosity for creative expression. Her formal studies in Occupational Therapy and later in Colour Psychology gave her a profound understanding of how colour shapes mood, healing, and identity. These foundations shaped the unique artistic voice she would later bring to canvas — one that fuses art, science, and soul.
In 2019, Tracie was commissioned as the Official Artist for the Oscars® Gift Bags, creating bespoke artworks gifted to nominees across all categories. Her vibrant works, inspired by resilience and optimism, reached Hollywood’s most celebrated actors, directors, and creatives — firmly establishing her on the international stage.
This moment positioned Tracie as one of only a handful of Australian artists to have her work included at the Academy Awards®, sparking global collector interest and international media coverage.
