Understanding styles and creating uniformity within your spaces will give a sense of completeness, consistency and calm. When a variety of styles are used in a home it can be visually confusing and over stimulates the senses.
Over the next few weeks we will introduce different styles and show you just how you can create beautiful rooms of the same style showcasing artworks from Art Lovers Australia.
Scandinavian or Scandi (for the trendy ones) is inspired by the looks found in the region it is aptly named after which are – Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. It’s a serious, sleek and professional, and a style that seems to remain in trend.
This style will be a favourite of the folks who love a trip to IKEA for more than the just the meatballs.
Scandi is well known for being super functional whilst maintaining beauty. Think clean lines, lean, leggy, layered all with timber accents. Generally, a minimal style with basic monochromatic tones or neutral with pale hues.
Add these features along with good lighting and some greenery and you will achieve a very appealing Scandi look.
