Painting hasn’t always been in Rose Hewartson’s life. In fact, her practice is less than ten years old. “I started painting in 2017,” she explains, reflecting on a period she considers a fundamental turning point. It was during a life coaching session that the something unexpected surfaced. “I was asked what I would do if I could do anything in the world, and I said, ‘I want to be an artist.’ It kind of surprised me, because I’d never painted before.”

Trudi Hipworth is an Australian abstract artist whose work is known for its softness, subtlety, and emotional depth. Inspired by nature, memory, and the small beautiful moments that often go unnoticed, her paintings explore the balance between presence and impermanence.

Matt Moriarty is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans illustration, digital art, and oil painting. Working fluidly across a range of styles, he produces cartoons and comics through his illustrative work, including children’s books and webcomics.
In 2020, he was awarded the Blacktown Council Artist Grant, which enabled him to write and illustrate his children’s book The Adventures of Larry Lizard, inspired by the stories his father shared with him and his siblings during childhood.
More recently, Matt has expanded his practice into oil painting, exploring abstract and surrealist themes. His work in this medium is characterised by the layering and blending of colour and light, resulting in compositions that are both immersive and evocative.
