Taken from my first solo exhibition in Cairns “Welcome to Paradise” at leading public contemporary art gallery, Northsite Contemporary Arts.
In an effort to curb the spread of these invasive ants, Cairns is covered in billboards and bus ads calling out locals to report any sightings. While a serious matter, to an outsider these ads look quite strange and a bit humorous…I just had to paint them!
