My latest series of miniature streetscapes is a Segway from my usual work, born of the COVID-19 pandemic as the reality of it reached Australia’s shores and upended our lives. As we bunkered down and isolated, I felt compelled to capture the strangeness of our normally bustling city now so eerily quiet – shops closed, streets empty, everyone sheltering anxiously behind closed doors waiting to see what would happen next.
