A Very Cheeky Giraffe – This giraffe’s long prehensile tongue sticking out (almost half a metre long) in search of a treat nuzzling at you to get to the food.

Giraffes are unique for the brown and white pattern of their coat and are the tallest of all land animals having a distinctive gait where both legs on one side move together.  They have experienced severe habitat loss as a result of human activity and degradation of their range and according to the IUCN  they have undergone 36 to 40 percent population decline (2016) and are classified as vulnerable of extinction, some subspecies have declined by 80%.  But good news is at hand as of the end of 2021 the estimate is that there has been an increase of almost 20%, still precariously low but room for optimism.  The unique story surrounding each animal portrait comes with the print.

These Fine art Giclee Prints are printed using archival pigment inks and made using 100% cotton, museum grade, archival quality 330gsm paper with an ultra-smooth finish which is acid free with ph buffering for superb durability and print stability.  It has a bright white surface that delivers a high D-max and wide colour gamut suitable for fine art prints with a print life of at least 75 years if cared for and displayed correctly. It is recommended that these prints are professionally framed.
