An earlier work, completed some years ago but one that remains a firm favourite of mine.

Winner of the Bluewater Art Prize in 2012 but shelved since then and only now revisited and available to purchase.

A quite unique piece that reveals so much more on close inspection (please be sure to see the accompanying detail images).

The settling sun bursts through the branches of a red, autumnal tree, causing a delightful contrasting flare of green, which complements the primary colour. The remainder of the background is made monochrome to highlight the central subject as the main point of focus.
