About Against the Grain – Huge Modern Abstract Painting People

If you are after a refreshing statement artwork that packs a punch for size, look no further than Against the Grain. This happy painting ticks all the boxes encompassing visual beauty, meaning and harmonic energy. 

Just between you and me, this is actually one of my favourite modern paintings from my collection. I just love its simplicity of style with minimalist colours transferring the perfect amount of energy.

A peach orange stripe separates a dual coloured background. The stable navy and splash of lime creates the perfect background energy balance in preparation for the foreground story. A moral message about inclusion and individuality.

The story begins with a vision of playful abstract figures. Their long torsos and odd shaped legs form a line of unison connected by their touch of hands in a dance like move.

All united, they reach out to another on the far side as a form of inclusion, welcoming them with an outstretched arm. An individual in their own right however, they humbly decline, preferring to do their own thing and go against the grain.

The moral message being to be kind and welcoming despite ones differences.

This stunningly huge modern abstract painting people is both fun and joyful and the perfect addition to a contemporary home.  Complementing any living area or place where people gather.
