Additional Information

76.6 x60cm oils on Cradled wood panel. view from an ocean racing yacht with Lord Howe Island in the distance and the cargo vessel Island Trader leaving. Based on a photo I took on a race to Lord Howe Island. We had left Sydney Harbour to Reach the Pittwater in time for the start in the Gosford to Lord Howe Island race. We sailed up the coast for a day then early morning on the second day we turned for the island. Throughout the day and into the night we had strong winds and storms during the night. we reefed the Mainsail and changed down to the storm jib. our speed was maintained and the boat was much settled. Early morning we sighted the Island and the supply ship Island Trader leaving.
