An Aussie Summer landscape explores our famous “Red Centre”. Its vast plains of arid desert coupled with rich red earth, Uluru, Katherine Gorge, Alice Springs, just to name a few; these places are unforgiving and beautiful at the same time. Many holiday makers head into our centre to explore is wonders whether it be our Indigenous heritage or our jaw dropping landscape. Outback locals say “its hot enough to fry an egg on ya car bonnet” and they wouldn’t be far wrong at that. Temperatures are very different to that of the coast where you can take advantage of a nice sea breeze. No sea breeze in the heart of Australia, just a lot of spinifex and sand in those hot dry winds. Even so, this is a beautiful part of our great continent.

This is the second in a trio of Acrylic Pour paintings; a tribute to how vast and how different our continent is from the rough and rugged coastlines to the hot unbearable red centre, Australia is so unique with both flora and fauna.

They look great on their own or together as a triptych. A great gift idea for anyone who loves Australia.
