And Then There Was Light – Sometimes a painting comes together perfectly. I love green-blue of the sky, and the slashes of pink peaking through. As with most of my work, this was put together with multiple layers layers using a palette knife and smoother brush strokes. This painting captures the first light of the day, while contrast is still low and the saturation is high.

Photos and scans don’t do this justice, it must be seen in person to take in all the windows between layers.

This painting would look amazing in a pale frame with pale matting. I hope you like it as much as I do.
